The students are admitted to various colleges of Engineering and Management through common entrance test conducted by Madhya Pradesh government body called Vyavsaik Pravesh Pareeksha Mandal -VPP Mandal, Bhopal. The exams conducted are MPPET and MPCET for management subject. A percentage of students are also admitted on all India basis set by Government as All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development in compliance with the directives of the Government of India for engineering colleges.

2. 15% of the total seats in each Branch are reserved for Management Quota, 20% seats are reserved for All India Quota in each Branch and Remaining seats are reserved for M.P. State Quota.

AIEEE Quota

Management quota seats

15% of M.P. Quota is reserved against management seats, which will be filled by the management. Students seeking admission under management quota will have to appear in PET 2005. The admission will be made on the basis of merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in PET every year.

Foreign Students:

1. Foreign students in this context shall be defined as a student who possesses a foreign passport.
2. Non Resident Indian (NRI) (as per Income Tax Act, 1961)
   As per Income Tax Act, 1961, an individual is Non - Resident for income tax purposes, when he is "not a resident" or who is "not ordinarily resident". A person is treated as "not ordinarily resident" when any of the following conditions is satisfied:
3. If he has not been resident in India in 9 out of 10 preceding years; 
   OR
   If he has been in India for a period of 730 days or more during the preceding 7 years.
4. A person, who is Non - Resident in India or Not Ordinarily Resident, is taxed in India for his income in India. He is not taxed in India for income abroad

Documents Required

Lateral Admission to the Second Year of B.E.

A student who has acquired a diploma in Engineering through a minimum of three years of institutional study, after 10+(Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination) can be considered to be academically equivalent to a student who has passed the first year of the four year Engineering degree programme for which the qualifying examination is of the 12+ level.

Lateral entry for diploma holders will be allowed in the second year third semester level. Seats in addition to the sanctioned intake at first year level, limited to a maximum of 10% will be reserved for such students.

Admission is made through the Counseling by DTE for the students who have passed their Diploma from AICTE/DTE/RGPV Approved Institute in first Division. The DTE/ Competent authority prescribes allotment of branch. Admissions are Available on 10% of sanctioned intake.

Promotion to higher classes

Promotion to higher semester will be based on the criteria fixed by RGPV Bhopal from time to time. However, students seeking promotion will have to complete the registration formalities within seven days from commencement of classes.
